If you’re craving photos with artsy charm and air-conditioning (hello, Florida summer!), the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park is a gem. I recently visited for the first time, and from the outside, the almost nondescript building blends right into the row of glamorous Park Avenue shops. Stepping inside, though, was a complete surprise. Admission is a steal at just $6 (or $1 with a student ID) — and what you get to see is worth so much more.
Inside, you’ll find the world’s most comprehensive collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany — think intricate lamps, glowing stained-glass windows, pottery, jewelry, and even his reconstructed 1893 Tiffany Chapel. Walking through the galleries feels like stepping into a celebration of color and light, with iridescent glass panels and recreations of rooms from Tiffany’s Long Island estate.
